I have received countless private messages from so many of you (BTW – I promise I *will* reply to each and every one of you — but it might take me some time — so please bear with me!).

I am completely amazed at how so many of you, who I’ve known for years, have faced tremendous obstacles (everything from multiple miscarriages, to multiple IVFs, to cancer, to the passing of a beloved child/sibling/spouse) and overcome them with grace and fortitude.

Thank you for sharing your stories with me and for reminding me that I too can get through this just like each and every one of you did too.

On a separate note, I have to say that if you’re gonna have crappy news delivered to you — there is no better place to work than Stella & Dot. Not only has our Home Office team been AMAZE; but our Stylists have come out in droves to send me their love and support. I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people (HO and Stylists), and to have gotten to know all of your crazy asses.  As Julie Stevenson would say “I appreciate ya :)” And boy do I right now — more than you know!

  1. hey there! I found your blog, randomly, because i was doing a seach for “stella & dot” and up came your blog. I just wanted to reach out, because I’m a new stylist, and I’m a breast cancer survivor. I finished mastectomy, chemo, and radiation in Feb. of 2011, and had my last surgery in March of this year. If there’s any way I can be of support to you, just reach out. I’m here! Also, do you know about BAYS? The Bay Area Young Survivors…an incredible, sassy, kick-ass group of women, all diagnosed with breast cancer before their 45th birthday. We have a monthly support group meeting in the city, a super-active Yahoo group, and lots of great social events. I am on the Board of BAYS, and would be happy to talk to you more about it, if you’re interested. Take good care. This time of waiting for info and treatment to start is the hardest part of all….once you get going, it’s actually easier, I think!!
Let me know if you need someone who has been there (and loves baubles!!!)

    • Hi! I *just* heard about BAYS from my friend, and BC survivor earlier today. I am going to email and join the yahoo group etc. Would love to talk further. I’ll email you privately. xoxo
