The Gem Fatales and Stella & Dot

I decided to take a leave of absence from work to focus on getting through surgery, recovery and chemo.  On one of my last days in the office, I received the BEST care package from the Gem Fatales (Stella & Dot Stylists).  They sent a Rosie the Riverter mug that says “Kickin’ Cancer’s Ass”, a SIGG that says “I’m Making Cancer my Bitch”, a comfy PJ set in pink that says “Cancer: All the Pretty People Have It”, a shirt for Paul that says “Cancer’s My Wife’s Bitch” AND the piece de resistance……pink boxing gloves. [See pic below]

Now I am fully prepared to fight this and keep a sense of humor about it. I can’t wait to take that SIGG to my first chemo appointment! How cool?!!!

My thanks and gratitude go out to you all. Thank you Tracey Schwartz, Julie Stevenson, Julie Regan, Anna Muir, Christina Welch and Caroline Hester. You are an extension of my family and I can’t tell you the immeasurable strength you give me. Just knowing that so many family, friends, Stylists, etc are pulling for us — truly, truly helps me to turn my frown upside down.

As Anita Krpata would say, “time to put on your big girl panties and fight this thing!”

OK, let’s get ‘er done!

  1. Hi, I just had my first Chemo Friday. Good luck, you will do great. Love the Hermes idea, I have to dig mine out! Getting my haircut Thursday, my daughter was helping me pick out a cute cut. We’ll see
