Introducing the Hindsight’s 2020 Podcast

Hey everyone! I know I haven’t posted here in a long while. Like everyone else, I’ve just been trying to keep my head above water. In fact, I’m raising the white flag and admitting that last year brought me to my knees – it was a really hard year on so many levels – and I know I’m not alone in feeling this way. So I decided to start a podcast to talk about all of the hard stuff we’ve all gone through.

Hindsight’s 2020 is a podcast that gives voice to the stories and lessons learned during the chaotic year that was 2020. This podcast aims to turn pain into purpose by destigmatizing the shame and isolation that comes with adversity & hardship, helping those who experience it — in whatever form it may take — feel seen, heard and accepted.

None of us had an instruction manual to navigate a global pandemic, and all that accompanied it, yet here we are, doing the best we can (albeit with a few bumps and bruises picked up along the way, as well as, an amazing new mask collection!).

The goal of Hindsight’s 2020 is to help foster human connection, build community and celebrate the human spirit, while also creating awareness of how each of us can cultivate our own resilience, empathy, confidence and allyship and channel it into achieving our goals and dreams in order to live our best, most fulfilling lives.

Through a weekly series of 1-on-1 conversations, I’ll be sharing stories about how the pandemic impacted our lives, relationships and careers. Among other things, I’ll explore pandemic parenting, mental health, pandemic fatigue, navigating disease, death and grief, working from home while sheltering in place, being BIPOC and/or an ally and the impact 2020 is having on our children.

My hope is that in talking and listening, we each can feel a sense of renewal, see the big picture and rediscover what matters most to us. So let’s lift one another up, learn from each other how to put one foot in front of the other and let the healing begin…because Hindsight’s 2020.

You can subscribe to the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify & iHeartRadio

PS You can learn more about why I started this podcast in the trailer & intro episode which are available now. I’ll be officially launching tomorrow (March 16, 2021) which marks the one year anniversary of when San Francisco went into lockdown – feels like a very fitting date indeed…
